Medical content review by Dr. Tanvir Ahmed in progress.
Colorectal cancer is increasingly seen in Bangladesh, including in younger adults. When it is found early it is highly treatable — which is why blood in the stool or a lasting change in bowel habit should always be checked.
Dr. Tanvir Ahmed provides surgical treatment for colon, rectal and anal cancers following oncological principles, working with oncologists for chemotherapy and radiotherapy where needed, and prefers sphincter-saving operations whenever they are safe.
